Play Along At Home!

Over the years, we've all seen how the many home versions of popular game shows sold. Well, just for fun, I've decided to create this special corner to list some of the ones I've purchased (and still have).

Jeopardy!
I've had several computer versions of this game.
An '87 Sharedata version for the Commodore 64
An '89 Sharedata Deluxe edition for the PC, which I don't have anymore
PC edition from 2002 featuring Alex Trebek

Card Sharks
Sharedata from '88 for the Commodore 64
2003 25th Anniversary edition from Endless Games. Comes with survey questions! I even bought giant cards to play the game with, so it's perfect.

Wheel of Fortune
I've had several versions of the Wheel, some on PC, but they're gone now. The only Wheel I still have is the 2nd Deluxe Edition with the great replica of the wheel.

Pyramid
I don't even know when this was made, or who made it, but it was on Commodore 64 and it stunk. Once had a better version on PC, but it never worked, so we trashed it.
Since then, we have the classic $25,000 box game from Endless Games. Still play it today.

Tic Tac Dough
Had the home game during the Wink Martindale days of the show, but that was then.

Family Feud
Had an '87 Sharedata for the PC, and it stunk because one person can't play for a whole family.
Tiger's handheld electronic Feud game from 2000
2005 DVD game with Richard Karn

The Price Is Right
We have both box revivals produced by Endless Games. I personally recommend the 2nd version, created by an actual champion on the show!

Press Your Luck
The original version by GameTek for the Commodore. I thank John Ricci for giving me a copy, although they couldn't even get the pilot boards right in this. Hey, they tried.

PYL Control 2.5
OK, so I really downloaded this, not bought it, but this is a great Press Your Luck game despite its simple look. Hats off to Brian Dominy for giving us PYL fans a classic to hold on to. Sadly, Brian has taken down his game show pages, and thus, his game is no longer available for distribution. Furthermore, it is DOS-based, which means it will not run on Windows 2000 or beyond. If anyone DOES want it, though, maybe I can help.

PRESS YOUR LUCK 2.00
A fellow named Curt King has his own version of this classic. In terms of graphics, this puts Brian Dominy's version to shame. He even drew his own prize squares! In addition, Curt's also put in lots of sound files for the big board, whammies and other special squares. Best of all, I've got a credit for beta-testing it and supplying graphics and sounds! YES!!

PRESS YOUR LUCK 3.30
Yes, in recent years, we have been on the hunt again. Chris Yoder, another great PYL fan, has recruited several other PYL and computer geeks - including myself - to take Curt's PYL game and make it even better. And oh wow, was he up to the task. The graphics put my designs to shame, they're that authentic looking. He even managed to perfect the ability to make the slides "morph" on screen just as you saw it on the actual show! Bottom line: DOWNLOAD IT!

Well, that's what I've collected over the years. Shows how much of a game show fan I've been, huh?
